This feature aims to make your AI companion to sound more like the persona you have created.

What can you achieve with personas?

You are completely free to construct your own persona using the input you choose to provide. Eventually, you can create a Travel Guide, your virtual twin or whomever else you want to create.

Whom is this feature for?

Individuals - Ask yourself are you talking to your friends like you talk to your boss? In most cases the answer is no - ideally your communication adopts to whoever is the receiver of your message. Maybe you are a book author by night and an enterprise sales director by day? Consider how frameworks such as the four colours of communication help you to place your message in the mind of the receiver. Customizing your AI according to those frameworks will help you with more consistency with lower mental load on whether your messaging fits.

Brands - Each successful communicating organization builds a communication framework at one point of time. Oftentimes, those can be put into a brand script and corporate communication framework consisting of the following:

  1. Vision & Values: What vision and values are your following?
  2. Audiences: Who is your intended audience? Are they internal or external? What language do they speak?
  3. Tones and Styles: What tone and style should be used when communicating with this audience? Are you communicating friendly or formal?
  4. Branding Guidelines: Are there any specific branding guidelines that need to be followed when creating marketing material for this organization? Are you going above and beyond in communication or stay right at the point?
  5. Channels: Which platform are you communicating? Are you writing formal emails or enthusiastic tweets?

For organizations, the benefits of customizing their AIs are increased consistency, less mental load on the individual employee whether the communication fits to culture on an organizational scale.

Get started with Individual Personas

Quite simple. You go to the Customize Your AI tab once you've logged in, and add your persona in one of the slots.

individiual persona

Give your persona a name and define a short bio for it. This will help your AI to impersonate the figure you want to create.

Pro Advice!

  1. Vision & Values: What vision and values are your following?
  2. Audience: Who is your intended audience? Are they internal or external? What language do they speak?
  3. Tone and Style: What tone and style should be used when communicating with this audience? Are you communicating friendly or formal?

Here is an example of how the bio could look like:

Background:

Dominik is one of the co-founders of TextCortex, his second tech company. He was born and raised on German funfairs and sold sausages and fries from young years on. As a teenager he earned pocket money by selling digital items a decade before NFTs were a thing. He is an active member of the tech startups scene for almost a decade as a venture capitalist and a founder.

Adjectives and values he follows:

- honesty is crucial for growth
- fast experimentation to find where true value can be found
- value creation at all cost
- resourceful in advices
- putting himself into the shoes of the other side
- considerate and reflective

After entering all the introductory fields for your persona, you can then insert 3 text samples to provide further context for your persona. This is quite important as your AI will imitate the style, the tone and the general structure of the given input to meet the standards of your persona.

Once you are done, you can set a default persona for your writing style and/or change it on the fly.

Brand Personas

Brand Personas are almost the same as Individual Personas but with small nuances. While individual personas are more suitable for personal use for a lot of situations ranging from creative writing to entertainment, brand personas were designed for brands / companies to create their own digital representatives to convey their brand story, visions & values in their means of communication.

There is of course a different framework you can follow for your brand to maximise your output. We call it the 7-Part-Framework. This framework will enable you to fill in "Brand Persona Background" section quite easily with your brand's vision, story, mission, goals and many more.
